It was several years ago, Zack, Kelly, Slater, Lisa and Screech were playing their song, Friends Forever, in the garage when Fate stepped in – Brian Fate. Fate was a record executive that happened to be jogging by and heard them playing. So impressed by what he heard, he felt compelled to go to the garage and offer their band, Zack Attack, a record contract.

What does this have to do with you?

Well, this is the only instance that we could find of a band getting signed doing nothing more than playing in the garage. In case you haven’t noticed, it’s an episode of Saved By The Bell, a fictional TV show. Fiction. See what we’re getting at?

If you want to make anything happen with your music, you need to get out of the garage and onto a stage, in front of people. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you’ll be a professional musician if you don’t take your guitar out of the bedroom. That’s why you’re here; to learn to promote your music.
